Thermal comfort depends on both air temperature and radiant temperature. That’s why ELKATHERM radiators provide the perfect balance of both for maximum comfort.
Radiant Heat
Radiant heat is like sunlight – it travels in waves directly to you. We’ve all felt the chill when a cloud blocks the sun,even though the air temperature hasn’t changed. That’s radiant heat turned off.
Our radiators deliver radiant heat through our fireclay tablets that warm up fast and retain heat for long periods of time and the metal fins that increase the surface area of the radiator to be 5 times larger.
These high levels of radiant heat, mean you can turn your thermostat 1-2 degrees lower, saving you money without compromising on comfort.
Convected Heat
Convected heat is spread through the movement of warm air. This method is ideal for reaching those hard-to-warm corners of a room.
Our radiators pull cold air from the ground through the radiator to warm it. This air then rises and moves around the room heating the air around you.
